A simple two-click operation to remove artifacts in Astro images with Photoshop.
Weird ‘flying sperm’ with unknown origin.
Fix with Dust & Scratches
Cleaning this with the help of the clone stamp tool would take a couple of minutes, if those artifacts are all over the place it could even take hours. So here I applied Dust & Scratches. As you can see it removes the spots. And pretty much everything else too. But now comes the trick…
Fade with Lighten Mode
All you have to do is to fade with Lighten Mode (Win: Shift+CTRL+F). This means that only the dark spots will be changed, but nothing else. The space sperm has been neutralized in just a few seconds.
I hope this was useful. Please keep in mind that I can not do all this for free without your help. If you would like to support me you can do this by purchasing my images, posters or my book. Thank you very much!
